Middle Grades Movie Book Club

Middle Grades Movie Book Club

Newbery Honor book, The Great Gilly Hopkins, is coming to the big screen on Feb. 19!

Gilly has been in the foster care system for many years, and prides herself on being a troublemaker. Will she be able to settle into a new, somewhat quirky, foster family, or will she finally be reunited with her birth mother? How will the movie version compare to the book?

Join us to find out!

Participants will be able to read the book and see the movie on their own timetable. We will meet at the library for refreshments and games, and to discuss both versions. Choose the date and time that works best for you:  Mon. March 14 at 4:30 pm or Sat. March 19 at 1:00 pm.
